GIANPIERO URZETTA TAILOR LAB @ FRAME CONDÉ NAST

A special tailor lab was set up at the Frame Condé Nast Experience Store with GIANPIERO URZETTA

GIANPIERO URZETTA Sewing Machines and Equipment hosted the most prestigious Italian fashion schools at Frame Condé Nast Experience Store for a workshop dedicated to tailoring and sustainability. A special tailor lab was set up for a day of activities where the students of Domus Academy, IED, Istituto Marangoni, Istituto Secoli and NABA, worked on special garments according to the principles of sustainability, coordinated by the Fashion Designer and creative consultant Italo Marseglia. For this special occasion, MANTECO, through its project Manteco Academy, supported all of these young designers by providing sustainable and high-quality fabrics.

A project to accompany the course of fashion studies by guaranteeing free consultancy, professional equipment and machinery for students

“I am thinking of a young designer who wants to create his own collection, launch his own brand. From my point of view, sustainability is offering them the possibility of doing it with few machines and of high quality, in order to offer the final consumer excellent garments, with costs of sustainable production. This is how I support all the great fashion houses and I use the same approach with young talents. Whether it’s a few pieces with a high content tailoring or a collection of greater distribution, it is essential to be able to have a sustainable production. Lower costs and higher product quality means being able to invest on what really matters – people, creative research” says Gianpiero Urzetta.
