MWool® at the Italian Pavilion of Biennale Architettura 2021

Chosen as a symbol of innovation, sustainability and circularity in the fashion world

The ceiling of the Prato section is decorated with MWool®, the next-generation of recycled wool. An installation that shows the phases of a Manteco recycled wool fabric’s creation, all of this by following the colors of the Italian flag, in honor of the place that sees the birth and creation of these precious products. As Matteo Mantellassi, CEO of Manteco Spa states, “the contamination of ideas and innovation between fashion and architecture are increasingly important and it is a pride for us, with MWool® and our research towards sustainability, to be present in these places, which represent history, beauty and culture, just like Manteco“.

An installation that brings an innovative and sustainable business model to an international level, such as the one that the fashion world should adopt on all fronts to reduce its environmental impact.

Tons of pre- and post-consumer knits, the ‘new’ MWool® wool fiber, the yarns and – finally – Manteco fabrics made with MWool®. A sustainable and circular production process from which Manteco – thanks to more than 80 years of experience, constant research, investments and numerous patents – has managed to obtain the maximum, giving life to the highest quality MWool® wool fabrics that are used today by numerous luxury brands worldwide.
