We have developed a Zero-Waste system, for virgin wool and recycled wool textiles production, through which a department of our company exclusively deals with the gathering of scraps and leftovers generated by our production network, from upstream to downstream. The « waste » coming from spinning (soft waste like slubbing leftovers), coning (discarded parts of twisted wool yarns), weaving (selvedges) and finishing (discarded finishing trials) is always considered as a precious resource, so it is gathered, re-classified per composition and color, then recycled to create new MWool® (recycled wool) fibers. If we did not recover all these materials, we would waste from 10% to 18% of the wool we process every year.
