Where British design meets Italian craftsmanship: Manteco® and Liberty Fabrics launch a co-branded collection of MWool® textiles printed with iconic, reimagined designs through a pioneering, waterless technology
To celebrate Liberty’s 150th anniversary, we launched a bold new chapter in luxury textiles, one that blends artistic excellence with cutting-edge innovation. For the first time, a curated selection of Liberty Fabric’s most iconic prints is reinterpreted by the London-based Design Studio on two exceptional recycled wool textiles, and a premium cotton base. The collaboration brings together two rich textile heritages and introduces a new perspective on luxury, shaped by visual brilliance, advanced technology, and a shared commitment to craftsmanship and responsible design.

Made through the mechanical recycling of pre- and post-consumer materials and certified with an EPD® Environmental Product Declaration. Compared to generic virgin wool, MWool® delivers exceptional environmental savings: – 99.2% climate change impact, – 99.9% water use, and – 93.3% energy consumption. Its distinctive colors are not dyed, but created through Recype®, Manteco’s proprietary process that blends the original shades of recycled wool fibers. Thanks to meticulous sorting and mechanical processing, the fibers retain their natural color—eliminating the need for chemical dyes while preserving quality and character. The collection is printed in Italy using Liberty’s advanced waterless digital printing technology. Fully compliant with GOTS, GRS, OEKO-TEX, and CPSIA standards, the process reduces energy use and waste while preserving the softness and technical performance of MWool®. The result is a collection that stands out for its visual richness, environmental integrity, and refined tactile appeal—a new vision of sustainable luxury shaped by shared values of craftsmanship, design, and innovation.
The Manteco x Liberty Fabrics collection is now available on B2B channels, and will be available in stores and B2C channels starting from summer 2026.
