Essential, Versatile, Sustainable

Contemporary MWool® flannel fabrics

The modern interpretation of a timeless and highly versatile material

Ansedonia is our contemporary interpretation of traditional flannels, an extremely old kind of fabrics dating back to the 17th century. The use of plaid shirts made with wool flannel was at peak in the 1990s, with popular grunge bands who used them as one of the trademarks of their unique look. Nowadays flannels are considered as timeless and essential materials in the world of fashion. Following our love for traditions, a part of our collection is focused on these soft  and lightweight woollen fabrics, which are exclusively made with our MWool® and presented with an extremely vast array of both fresh patterns and solid No-dye colors, all enhanced by numerous finishing options. Yet another sustainable excellence produced within our unique Manteco System.

When it comes to creating colors in wool recycling, no dye is needed for our company, since pre- and post-consumer garments come already dyed from their former life. Through the Recype® process, our artisans of the raw material department manage to devise new wool colors just by mixing different fibers and shades of colors, developing actual ‘recipes’ of no-dye colors that are archived and reproduced over time. Thanks to this technique, in more than 80 years in the field of wool recycling, we have developed our Infinity Color Collection, which is composed of more than 1000 MWool Recycled colors.
